Kelly G. Lohn, FCPA, FCA

Kelly is a 3rd generation Vancouverite and received a Chartered Accountant designation in 1974. Started the mid-size downtown Vancouver firm Lohn Caulder LLP in 1978. Kelly specializes in taxation and related financial planning. The firm is the Vancouver office of BKR International, an international organization of 165 independent accounting firms around the world.

Kelly has been a supporter of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada “Financial Literacy Program” and was responsible for the updating of the “Effective Tax Strategies” educational session. Is a former lecturer at the School of Chartered Accountants, Taxation and has served on the B.C. Institute of Chartered Accountants Taxation Committee and the Canada Customs & Revenue Agency Liaison Sub-Committee. Former chairman of the B.C. Institute of Chartered Accountants Public Practice Forum. Was one of nine members of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants Small and Medium Sized Practices Advisory Group. Lecturer and speaker on taxation and financial planning issues. He has been a panelist at the BC Money and Investment Fair, lecturer on taxation of older adults at the annual Prime Plus-ElderCare Conference and a CKNW-CTV tax commentator and has spoken at the Annual National C.A. Conference. He has been the B.C. instructor for the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants course “Developing a Prime Plus ElderCare Practice”. Quoted on financial planning and taxation matters in the Globe and Mail, Vancouver Sun, “Money Sense” and “Solutions” magazines.
